How we started
Mission Statement:
Our goal is to seek quality care for children in Family Child Care; to unite providers for greater recognition as professionals; to establish a communication network among providers.
We are a group of "HOME" childcare professionals providing quality-loving care in our homes. Our organization meets monthly for training, which meets state and local requirements to enhance our programs. Through this network of providers, we support one another and exchange ideas to enrich the children’s lives that we care for every week.
Many of our members are affiliated with the TPHCCA (Texas Professional Home Child Care Association) and the NAFCC (National Association for Family Child Care), as well as other child centered organizations.
The Arlington Professional Home Child Care Association consists of a group of in-home childcare providers in Arlington, Grand Prairie, Mansfield & Kennedale areas, who are registered, licensed or listed and meet the minimum standards set forth by the Texas Department of Protective and Regulatory Services (DFPS).
The purpose of our group is to improve the quality of in-home childcare by providing caregivers with moral, educational and professional support as well as training opportunities.
Mentor program
The Association also
offers a mentor program to providers that are just starting their childcare
business. New providers can benefit from this program by having an experienced
provider share her insights into this challenging career. If you would like more information on this program, please contact us!
